India Diabetes and Nutrition Discussion Book - Education Experiences
Feedback on "What Can I Eat? India"
When I used “What Can I Eat? India”, my patient and I bonded & shared more than ever despite our cultural differences and my limited experiences in Indian cooking.”
Melanie, RD, Ohio
At our first RD visit we cover basic carbohydrate counting and I promise to give the patient a "What Can I Eat, India" Discussion Book at the next visit. The patient is enticed to return and we use the Discussion Book together which creates a lively and culturally meaningful discussion.

What is World Diabetes Day?
World Diabetes Day
14 November 2009
World Diabetes Day raises global awareness of diabetes - its escalating rates around the world and how to prevent the illness in most cases. Started by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and WHO, the Day is celebrated on 14 November to mark the birthday of Frederick Banting who, along with Charles Best, was instrumental in the discovery of insulin in 1922, a life-saving treatment for diabetes patients.
